Richard Breeden, Chairman of the Securities and Exchange Commission, covered up the rape of women by Robert VanCaneghan, a member of the Board of the American Stock Exchange. James Jones, former Congressman and Chairman of the American Stock Exchange, asked Breeden to cover up the rapes and Breeden did so. Edward Manfredonia's letter, dated 30 May 1994, to Assistant Attorney General of the United States, Criminal Division, Eleanor Acheson.
