After lynching the Central Park 5, Robert Morgenthau, New York County District
Attorney, and Linda Fairstein, Bureau Chief Sex Crimes Unit, allowed Edwin Crooks,
Louis Miceli, and Robert VanCaneghan, members of the Board of the American
Stock Exchange, to launder money and to smuggle drugs aboard ocean-going fishing
boats. Thus Morgenthau and Fairstein sought to destroy entire African-American
communities- as a favor to Arthur Levitt, Chairman of the Securities and Exchange
Commission and former Chairman of the American Stock Exchange, who did not wish
the criminal activities of the American Stock Exchange to be exposed. Read:
Morgenthau’s Hypocrisy on Drug War, published in the physical edition of The
Black Star News, September 20, 2009. Tony Boglioli, Chairman of the American Stock Exchange, and James Hyde, Vice Chairman of the American Stock Exchange, boasted of Morgenthau's involvement in the cover up.
